Family History of my grandpa Shuey as told to me by my mother
Bert Shuey's ancesters were exile from France during Marie Antoinetta 
Rein. Two brother fled to  Germany, & England. from England they came to 
America  and settle in Pa.  Mom believe this  to be grandpa's grandfather 
or great grandfather. His mother was an English women and his father 
Black German. Not the color black, but the area he was from.
Grandpa had two brothers and one sister. Mother thought one brother's 
name was Frank and the other Arthur. Sister was Kitty Mae. Kitty married 
a man name Henry Couch who was a Peanut farmer in Texas. 
Grandpa Shuey was born on a wagon train. Garndpa tried to join Teddy 
Roosevelts Rough Riders, but was to young. Grandpa and grandma Shuey rode 
to get land in Okla. They became store merchants in Okla and again in 
Oregon. I was told my grandpa left home at a very early age and never 
returned.  Mother said his father was very mean. However I did find my 
grandfather in Okla on the 1900 census as a boarder and his father Thomas 
was in the same location.  These are the notes that I wrote down back in 
the 80's when Mother was alive.
Mother also told me that Frank died at the age of 1 year. Could there 
have been two Franks?
