From the Pension papers of the war 1812
Born: Killingworth, Conn.
Charles Hull was 5 feet 7 1/2" high. Dark complexion, dark hair, dark
eyes, a farmer. Served in the war of 1812. enlisted Jan 20, 1814
discharged Jan 20th 1815. Served in Capt John Brown Co. 37 U S Inf. Age
25 at time of discharge.
Received bountry land in Ripley Co. Indiana
According to William Hulls obitary his Father Charles Hull served as a
volunteer in the war of 1812 and Mexican American War. I sent for both
pension papers. According to the pension papers for the Mexican war. A
Charles G. Hull serve in Missouri and his wife Delandy collected on his
pension. the papers did not indicate this was the same Charles as
Charles Hull who was married to Pruie Judd. I am still researching this.
census: 1850,1860, 1870 Ripley Co. Jackson Twp. Indiana, Charles's son
Phlio Hull and family, and son Sylvester was also on the 1860 census
pension papers for the war of 1812
Also found Charles in the book "The Hull Family History" The Ancestors
and Descendants of George Hull by Robert E. Hull.
Charles also received bounty land in Indiana for serving in the war of
1812, have not sent for these papers yet
