I found dad (Guy) on the 1900 census with his parents
When I was 6 years old my father Alvin Arthur Bryant was killed.
Mother remarried when I was 8 years old to Guy John Canady.
He was a good father and an all around wonderful man.  Dad died when he 
was 89 and before he died he gifted his business to Chet, Helen, Barbara 
and Pat.  Helen and I still own the business and Ted's is General 
manager.  Helen is the booker keeper and 3 of my children work there and 
one of Helens.  We bought Pat out in 1989 and chet out shorty after dad 
retired, around 1970.  Dad was very hurt that Chet wanted out of the 
business. The business was given to all of us, but we ended up buying 
Chet and Pat's shares.  However Pat waited until dad died before she sold 
hers back.  We were also given the building that the business rents. Chet 
was bought out of the building a long time ago and we are buying Pat out 
at this time.
